This online webinar explored the various possibilities involved in teaching using an inquiry based approach. The program guided participants through the key concepts of inquiry learning, with close references to the curriculum framework.

Specifically it covered the use of graphic organisers, such as KWL charts, Venn diagrams, data grids, concept maps, flow charts and fishbone diagrams. Under the heading of thinking strategies, it surveyed Bloom’s Taxonomy, Ryan’s Thinking Keys, Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences and de Bono’s Thinking Hats scheme.

The PD offered an extensive range of teaching topics for all of these ten concepts, and offered a set of related literacy activities under each sample topic.
